1. In September of 1949 communism took over China.
2. After WWII the USSR controlled northern korea and the U.S.controlled southern korea
3. In June of 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea
4.To stop the spread of communism into South Korea the united nations aided south korea in the war
5. General MacArthur would be leading the UN troops into battle
6. China felt threatened by the UN's attack on North Korea and decided to join the fight on North Korea's side
7. During the war presidential elections were held and Truman was replaced by Dwight Eisenhower
8. The war ended with a comprimise which led to communism being contained in korea
9. When China entered the fight the UN was pushed all the way back to the 38th parallel
10. It took two years after the comprimise untill fighting stopped completelyin Korea
